The range of Lincoln sport utility vehicles not only offer modern and efficient redesigned models, but they also offer exclusive versions that you will not find within the competition. The 2020 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is the perfect example. Unveiled in November 2019, the name would have you believe that this is a high-end version of the new luxury Corsair SUV. While luxury is certainly present, the Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring is actually a hybrid version of the Lincoln Corsair.
This model will offer several innovations, starting with the first electric all-wheel-drive system in the segment. The engine combines a 2.5-litre four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine developing 266 horsepower with an electric motor.
Even more interesting, the combination of a super-efficient electric motor and the all-new electric all-wheel drive offers a range of 40 kilometres in 100% electric mode. You’ll be able to complete the majority of your daily commute without consuming a single drop of fuel.
It will also be possible to adjust different driving modes in order to optimize the driving behaviour of your Corsair Grand Touring. The driving modes include Normal, Conserve, Excite, Slippery and Deep as well as two modes specific to its electric engine. Preserve EV mode keeps the energy of the battery in reserve while Pure EV mode is a 100% electric mode for EV-only urban travel. Preserve EV mode also allows you to recharge up to 75% of the battery.
Like the gasoline 2020 Lincoln Corsair, the electric Grand Touring model will offer a cabin where luxury dominates. Expect to enjoy a massage function, a seat that can be adjusted according to 24 positions and as much space as the normal Corsair thanks to a battery hidden under the floor so as not to affect versatility.
